Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paul Pearce (ranked 4553 p4p, 3023 weight class) and Angus Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Pearce! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Angus Scott! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scott cracks Pearce with a good jab. Scott looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Scott jabbing away but nothing is landing. Angus Scott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pearce lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Pearce shoots in but no luck this time. Scott lands a jab to the nose. Scott misses the jab. Pearce fails with a takedown attempt. Scott throws an overhand right that lands on Pearce's shoulder, as Pearce tries to avoid the shot. Pearce's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Scott connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Pearce scrambles back to his feet. Pearce fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Pearce. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pearce ducks under a wild hook from Scott. A jab from Scott finds it's way through Pearce's defenses. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Scott clobbers Pearce with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Pearce is rocked! Scott throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Scott throws an overhand right that lands on Pearce's shoulder, as Pearce tries to avoid the shot. Pearce needs to keep his hands up - Scott had a free shot at his head there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pearce lands a front kick. Pearce steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Scott. Pearce uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Scott. Pearce attempts a counter takedown but Scott avoids it well and moves away. Pearce scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Angus Scott is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Scott lands a big right hand that sends Pearce crashing to the mat! Scott stays standing though and waves Pearce back to his feet! Oh Pearce is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Scott rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Pearce counters with a left and a right that stings Scott. Nice takedown defense from Scott. No joy for Pearce on that attempt. Pearce seems to have got his legs back now. Pearce dives in for a single leg takedown but Scott sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Scott throws out a counter right but Pearce avoids it with no problem. Pearce is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Pearce is breathing heavily. Scott makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Pearce tries to work over Scott's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Scott lands an uppercut. Pearce misses with the head strike.
Scott working some nice short punches in the clinch. Scott dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Scott pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pearce takes one to the side of the head.
Scott misses with a left hand and Pearce counters with a three punch combo that has Scott backing up. Scott nods at Pearce to acknowledge the strikes. Scott cracks Pearce with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Scott has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Pearce to stand back up! Pearce uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Scott. Pearce uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Scott. Scott cracks Pearce with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Pearce tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Scott pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Pearce is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Angus Scott!
