Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Glenn Morano (ranked 6147 p4p, 25269 weight class) and Santos Resi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Glenn Morano has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Glenn Morano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Santos Resi! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Sandra Marshall and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Resi falls off balance throwing a combination
and Morano counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Morano takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Morano gets the takedown into side control. Morano is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Resi is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Morano working away. Morano is trying to get an arm triangle but Resi is defending well. Morano tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Morano has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Resi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Morano tries for a kimura but Resi is defending well. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Morano just content to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morano moves into full mount! Morano controlling from mount. Resi can't escape the position.
Morano is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Resi to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Resi shrugs it off. Morano landing strikes from the mount and Resi is in trouble! Morano is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Resi is surviving well by controlling Morano's body position as best he can. Morano content just to control the position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Morano is standing up, even though he is in mount. No joy there for Resi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Resi connects with a body shot. Morano clinches with his opponent.
Morano jumps guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Morano pushes Resi off and gets back to his feet.
Morano shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Resi manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Resi is looking to stand back up but Morano counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Resi. Resi looks winded! Morano controlling the action here. Resi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morano. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Morano is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Morano stalling. Morano scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Morano controlling the pace. Morano is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Morano wants to work for an arm triangle but Resi is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Glenn Morano dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Morano walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Morano ducks right into an uppercut from Resi. Morano closes the distance and clinches. Morano has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Resi is trying to keep an underhook but Morano manages to get the takedown into half guard. Resi has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Morano is working away from the top position though. Morano wants to work for an arm triangle but Resi is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Morano seems to be working for a kimura but Resi defends the submission attempt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Morano throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Morano perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Glenn Morano overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Morano's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Resi is refusing to be controlled, as Morano sits in half guard. Morano is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Resi can do to turn this around? Resi keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Morano missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Morano seems to be looking for submissions.
Morano seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Glenn Morano dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! Resi connects with a looping right hand.
Resi lands a head shot. Morano dodges the punch combination from Resi.
Morano moves into the clinch successfully.
Resi is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Morano gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Morano turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Morano has hold of Resi's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Resi tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Morano cranks the arm and Resi screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Resi, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Glenn Morano!
