Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Reeves Lawal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and navin johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawal fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nice sprawl there from Lawal as johnson shoots in.

johnson wants to clinch up but Lawal keeps it at a distance.
johnson moves in looking to clinch but Lawal pushes him off.
johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lawal swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lawal misses with a series of wild punches.
johnson shoots in looking for a takedown. Lawal tries to sprawl out of it but johnson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lawal manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lawal throws a body punch but johnson moves out of range.

johnson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lawal tries to avoid it but johnson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lawal to the ground. Lawal escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Reeves Lawal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of navin johnson.

Lawal thuds his right hand into johnson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

It looks like navin johnson has been cut.
johnson shoots in but Lawal avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lawal misses with a looping left.
johnson moves in looking to clinch but Lawal pushes him off.
johnson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lawal pinned against the cage. Lawal gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and johnson counters by moving into the clinch.
johnson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
johnson is trying to drag Lawal to the mat but Lawal just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
johnson looks gassed!
Lawal is looking to break free of the clinch but johnson has double underhooks.

johnson tries to score a body lock takedown but Lawal shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
johnson wants a takedown but no success here.
Lawal is pressed up against the cage. johnson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lawal down to the mat. Lawal avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Reeves Lawal is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
johnson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and johnson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Lawal is pulling down on johnson's head. It's preventing any offense from johnson, at least for the moment.
Lawal looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Lawal bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in johnson's guard.

Lawal controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
johnson is looking to stand back up but Lawal counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by johnson.
Lawal is looking to advance position but johnson won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
johnson is looking to control Lawal's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can johnson avoid being mounted?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lawal stuffs the takedown attempt from johnson. johnson gets slowly back to his feet.
Lawal jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Lawal ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Lawal connects with a superb combination that knocks johnson out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Lawal before he can land any more shots to the unconscious johnson!
