In the red corner, competing out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Rick Balboa! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 2 losses; Ben Stone!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Stone shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Balboa manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Balboa (0) vs (2) Stone
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Balboa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stone manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Balboa is looking for a triangle but Stone pushes his legs off easily.
Stone slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Score +3 for passing guard: Balboa (0) vs (5) Stone
Balboa knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stone on the ground.
Stone is working to tighten his grip on Balboa's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Balboa has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Stone is really squeezing tight and eventually Balboa passes out! Stone breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
