Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Kirk (ranked 871 p4p, 735 weight class) and Holden Gracie (ranked 136 p4p, 114 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Kirk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Holden Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Kirk counters with an inside leg kick.
Gracie scores with a hook to the body. Kirk takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Gracie takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Gracie jabs Kirk to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Kirk throws a hook to the side of Gracie's head but Gracie sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Gracie scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Gracie has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Kirk uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gracie.

Kirk ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gracie moves away.

Gracie is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Kirk rather than just go for the knockout.
Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kirk swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Kirk keeps control of Gracie as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Kirk fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gracie.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kirk tried to score with a low kick but Gracie checks it.
Gracie throws a looping overhand right but Kirk ducks down to avoid it.
Nice uppercut lands for Gracie. That snapped Kirk's head back.
Kirk swings for the body but Gracie moves out of range.
Gracie stuns Kirk with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Gracie throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Gracie works Kirk's body with a nice hook.
Kirk uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gracie.
Gracie throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Kirk.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gracie throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Oh Kirk is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gracie loads up on a big right hand but Kirk slips the punch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Holden Gracie dominated that round.

Gracie tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Kirk cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kirk seems to have got his legs back now.
A decent looking cross lands there for Gracie.
Gracie misses with a series of wild punches.
Gracie has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Gracie misses with a straight right.
Gracie throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kirk tries to counter by clinching up but Gracie breaks away and moves out of range.
Kirk gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Gracie lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kirk circles away quickly and effectively.
Holden Gracie seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Gracie jabbing away but nothing is landing.

We've been told by Kirk's head coaches at The House Of Pain that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Gracie rushes Kirk and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Kirk is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Gracie piles on the pressure and Kirk crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
