Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eliott Leighton (ranked 2968 p4p, 3018 weight class) and Scott Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leighton comes to the cage accompanied by Bad to the Bone - George Thorogood. Scott Hill will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Scott Hill!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Sergei Dronov and Fedor Mirinova.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill throws a series of punches but Leighton moves out of range.

Leighton gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Leighton fails to pull guard.

Hill manages to break the clinch.

Hill has managed to clinch.
Hill on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Hill has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Leighton missing with knees to the body.
Leighton takes an elbow to the temple.

It looks like Eliott Leighton has been cut.
Hill prevents the takedown attempt.
Leighton trying to land knees to the body.

Hill pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Hill fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Leighton, pushing him back against the cage.
Leighton is trying to drag Hill to the mat but Hill just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eliott Leighton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hill presses Leighton against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Hill breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Hill lands a big right hand that sends Leighton crashing to the mat! Hill stays standing though and waves Leighton back to his feet!

Leighton is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Leighton tries to keep at a distance but Hill has taken the fight into the clinch.
Oh Leighton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Leighton struggles to land a body shot inside as Hill controls his hands.
Leighton seems to have got his legs back now.

Leighton drags the fight down to the ground.

Leighton working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Hill has passed into half guard!

Hill stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Leighton blocks a head kick by Hill.
Hill smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Hill is looking to clinch but Leighton is avoiding it.
Hill goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Scott Hill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hill moves in looking to clinch but Leighton pushes him off.
Hill takes a swing at Leighton's ribcage but misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Leighton. Hill does a little dance to reset his feet.

Leighton forces Hill back against the cage and clinches.
Hill misses with a punch on the inside.
Hill comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Leighton avoids a wild elbow strike from Hill.

Hill manages to break the clinch.
Hill is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Leighton misses with a looping left.

Leighton drives through and clinches with Hill against the cage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Hill.

Hill's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hill cracks Leighton with an open hand slap.
Hill moves in looking to clinch but Leighton pushes him off.

Hill clinches with his opponent.
Hill misses with a punch to the body.
Hill wants to break the clinch but can't.

Hill manages to break the clinch.

Hill lands a big uppercut and Leighton crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Leighton looks OK. Hill waves Leighton back to his feet!
Hill dances in with a quick combination. Leighton is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Hill snaps Leighton's head back. Leighton stumbles backwards against the cage. Hill steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Leighton's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Leighton just didn't come prepared.
