Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Judge (ranked 1132 p4p, 2291 weight class) and Hin Areni (ranked 130 p4p, 243 weight class). Judge's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Game- Disturbed. The crowd seem to be enjoying Areni's choice of entrance music: Mosaique. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ricky Judge!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hin Areni!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Areni looks to land a combination but Judge avoids it well.
Judge throwing a counter right hand but Areni manages to avoid it.
Areni throws a leg kick
and Judge counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Areni misses with a body shot.
Areni has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Judge shoots in for a takedown but Areni shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Judge has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Judge shoots in looking for a takedown. Areni tries to sprawl out of it but Judge keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Areni manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Areni makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Judge closes the distance and clinches up with Areni, looking for a takedown. Judge pushes Areni against the cage but Areni circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Areni throws a body shot but no joy.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Areni throws a hook but Judge blocks it.
Judge attempts a counter takedown but Areni avoids it well and moves away.

And Areni tries to counter it with a takedown but Judge pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Areni feints and then cracks Judge's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Judge down.
A looping hook to the body misses from Judge. Areni does a little dance to reset his feet.
Judge fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Areni manages to avoid it.
Judge changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Areni looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Areni tries to bench press Judge off him but Judge keeps the position.
Judge tries to move to mount but Areni blocks the move with his legs.
Judge tries for a kimura but Areni is defending well.
Judge looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Areni avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Judge.

Areni is pushing Judge's head away, looking to escape. Judge manages to hold on to the position though.
Areni regains half guard.
Judge seems to be working for a kimura but Areni defends the submission attempt.
Areni controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Judge tries to pass to full mount but Areni defends it.
Judge passes the guard and advances to mount!
Judge is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Areni has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Areni!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Areni advances position into side control!
Judge is trying to improve his position.
Areni trying to control the action but Judge is working from the bottom.
Judge takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Areni moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Areni cracks Judge with a big right hand but Judge just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Judge shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Areni as he jumps to the side.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Areni has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Areni slips a nice elbow through Judge's hands, connecting with Judge's forehead.
Areni looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Judge with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Areni is taking a breather. Judge says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Areni connects with a nice short shot to Judge's temple.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Hin Areni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Judge ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Areni moves away.
Judge shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Areni as he jumps to the side.
Areni swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Judge throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Judge on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Judge on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Areni avoids the body shot from Judge.
And that's the end of the fight!
Hin Areni comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Areni winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
