Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dan Goeble (ranked 4744 p4p, 5870 weight class) and Travis Lutter (ranked 0 p4p, 566 weight class). Lutter is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Island Boy. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lutter dives in and grabs Goeble's left leg, looking for a takedown. Goeble pushes down on Lutter's head and hops out.

Goeble moves into the clinch successfully.
A body shot lands from Goeble.

Goeble gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Goeble is taking a breather. Lutter says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Lutter is looking for a sweep. Goeble is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Goeble is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Goeble content to control rather than advance.
Lutter looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Goeble is trying to work for a kimura but Lutter is defending well.

Goeble decides to stand and escape the position.
Lutter blocks the body kick.
Lutter fails with a takedown attempt.

Goeble forces Lutter back against the cage and clinches.

Goeble manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Goeble seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Lutter is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Goeble wants to sweep but no luck.
Lutter is fighting to break Goeble's control of his arms but Goeble is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Lutter working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Goeble kicks Lutter off and gets to his feet.
Lutter looks for a takedown but Goeble sprawls well.
Dan Goeble has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Travis Lutter.

Goeble shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Goeble showed some decent athleticism there.

Goeble thows a huge punch but Lutter dodges it nicely.

The fighters are battling for position here. Lutter manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Lutter had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Goeble defends it easily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Goeble is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Lutter has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Goeble is looking to defend but Lutter has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Goeble! Lutter pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Goeble taps out and this one is all over!

In his post fight interview, Travis Lutter started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
