Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aslak Maitonaama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fabiano Martinez!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maitonaama tests Martinez's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Martinez has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Good exchange - Maitonaama coming out on top.

Martinez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Maitonaama wants to control but Martinez postures up.
Martinez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Maitonaama knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Maitonaama manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Maitonaama moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Martinez seems to have recovered his senses.
Maitonaama has his foot on Martinez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Martinez works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Martinez is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Maitonaama has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Martinez is looking to defend but Maitonaama has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Martinez! Maitonaama pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Martinez taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Aslak Maitonaama!
Aslak Maitonaama decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
