Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Josh Iverson (ranked 4445 p4p, 6472 weight class) and Markos Belca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Josh Iverson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Iverson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Markos Belca! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Belca moves away from the strike by Iverson. Iverson's corner calls for a 1-2. Iverson obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Iverson connects with a crisp jab. A telegraphed right hand from Belca misses the target. Iverson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Belca counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Belca is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Iverson pulls him back up using the underhooks. Iverson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Belca to keep the fight standing. Iverson is trying to pull guard but Belca has him pressed against the cage. A quick uppercut on the inside from Belca. Belca throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Iversons head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Belca breaks the clinch.
Belca works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Iverson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Iverson lands the left hand. Iverson misses with an uppercut
and Belca counters with a leg kick. Belca drops his hands momentarily and Iverson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Iverson throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Belca cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Iverson needs to keep his hands up - Belca had a free shot at his head there. Belca misses with a hook. Iverson ducked under it nicely. Belca throws a big shot that misses. Iverson throws a lazy right hand but Belca sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Nice straight punches there by Iverson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Iverson. Iverson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Iverson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Belcas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Belca has managed to clinch.
Iverson prevents a takedown attempt there.
Iverson wants to take the fight to the mat but Belca manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh Iverson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Iverson goes for a takedown attempt but Belca pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Iverson closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Belca slips a straight right by Iverson. Iverson pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Iverson is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Iverson swinging wildly here.
Belca jabbing away but nothing is landing. Belca steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Iverson. Iverson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Josh Iverson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Belca misses with a hook. Iverson ducked under it nicely. Belca clinches with his opponent.
Belca dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Belca has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Iverson after a bit of a struggle. Belca is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Iverson is defending well for now. Iverson throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Iverson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Belca doesn't seem bothered though. Belca throws a looping overhand right but Iverson ducks down to avoid it. Iverson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Iverson darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Belca misses with a hook. Iverson ducked under it nicely. Belca moves out of range of the strikes. Belca defending well as Iverson loads up on a big left hand. Belca on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Iverson throws an overhand right that lands on Belca's shoulder, as Belca tries to avoid the shot. Iverson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Iverson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. A slow jab from Belca misses its intended target. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Belca uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Iverson. Iverson lands a head shot. Belca scores with a jab to the jaw. Belca takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Belca swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Iverson blocks a jab. A left lands for Iverson. Belca has a takedown stuffed. Iverson throwing a counter right hand but Belca manages to avoid it. Belca gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Josh Iverson will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. A jab from Iverson finds it's way through Belca's defenses. Iverson lands a jab to the nose.
Belca is rocked! Iverson scores with a nice head shot. Belca is still on wobbly legs! Can Iverson finish him? Belca walks straight into a right hand from Iverson - that's dropped him! Iverson jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Belca from any more punishment! Belca complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Josh Iverson!
