PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hunter Biden (ranked 1293 p4p, 1284 weight class) and Bugsy Seigel (ranked 192 p4p, 190 weight class). Bugsy Seigel told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hunter Biden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bugsy Seigel!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Biden ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Seigel moves away.
Biden rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Seigel counter with a right hand.

It looks like Hunter Biden has been cut.
Seigel defending well as Biden loads up on a big left hand.
Biden misses with a hook to the body
and Seigel counters with a nice kick to the body.
Biden cracks Seigel with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Biden rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Seigel counters with a crisp one two that drops Biden! Seigel thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Biden to his feet! Biden is in big trouble!

Seigel jabbing away but nothing is landing.
It looked like Biden wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Hunter Biden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Seigel swings for the body but Biden moves out of range.
Biden throwing a counter right hand but Seigel manages to avoid it.

Biden misses with a looping left.
Seigel lands a nice hook to Biden's body. Biden takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Biden darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

It looks like Bugsy Seigel has been cut.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Seigel moves into the clinch.
Seigel has a couple of punches blocked by Biden.
Seigel doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Biden breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Biden scores with a jab to the head.
Biden looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Biden throws a sloppy body shot
and Seigel counters with a straight right hand.
Seigel doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Biden throws an off balance right hand

and Seigel counters by clinching up.
Seigel tries to work over Biden's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Biden.

Biden breaks from the clinch.
Biden wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Some bone on bone action there as Biden checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Biden swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Seigel throws a front kick that sends Biden stumbling back into the cage.
Biden rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Seigel counters with a thumping low kick.

Biden missing with a left hand there. Seigel was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Seigel misses with a body punch
letting Biden counter with a right hand.
Biden throws a body shot but no joy.
No joy there for Biden, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Biden throws a hook but Seigel avoids it easily.
Seigel was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Seigel on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Biden looks to land a right hand but Seigel moved out of range.
Seigel only half commits to the counter leg kick.
A big left from Biden misses.
Biden misses with an uppercut. Seigel saw that one coming.

Biden tries to keep at a distance but Seigel has taken the fight into the clinch.

Biden doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Seigel lands with a light punch inside.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Biden tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
A knee to the head by Seigel.

Hunter Biden's cut is getting worse.

Biden escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Biden throws a hook to the side of Seigel's head but Seigel sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Biden dodges the punch combination from Seigel.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Bugsy Seigel dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Biden takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Biden avoids a kick to the body.
Biden was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Seigel turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Seigel throws a shot to the body.
Seigel lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Biden waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Seigel.
Biden fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Seigel manages to avoid it.
Biden throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Seigel sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Biden blocks a low kick nicely.
Biden uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Seigel.
Seigel misses the shot to the body.
Biden is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Seigel lands with a kick to the ribs.
The fighters circle momentarily. Biden darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Seigel throws a half hearted mid kick.
Seigel misses with a straight left.
Some bone on bone action there as Biden checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

and Seigel counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Seigel. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Biden doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

The fighters circling - Seigel throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Biden bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Seigel lands a leg kick that knocks Biden off balance momentarily.

Hunter Biden's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Seigel lands a big right hand that sends Biden crashing to the mat! Seigel stays standing though and waves Biden back to his feet!

Jeez, Hunter Biden's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Hunter Biden's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
