Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Stuart Burrows (ranked 449 p4p, 2892 weight class) and Juju Chavez (ranked 25 p4p, 162 weight class). Burrows comes to the cage accompanied by Baba O'Riley. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Stuart Burrows! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Juju Chavez! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burrows closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Chavez quickly recovers to half guard. Burrows wants to free his trapped foot but Chavez is holding on for dear life with his legs. Burrows performing his best blanket impression for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Burrows has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Burrows trying to pass the guard but Chavez defending well. Burrows wants to work for an arm triangle but Chavez is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Burrows is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Chavez is just riding it out for now. Burrows eventually gives up the hold. Burrows trying to mount his opponent but Chavez defends it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Burrows shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Chavez manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Burrows trying to control but Chavez is working from the bottom. Burrows passes Chavez's left leg - he's now in half guard. Chavez is trying to maintain the position but Burrows is very close to passing his half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Burrows in particular looking to stall. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Burrows is thwarting Chavez's attempts to control the position. Chavez looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Burrows stalling. The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Burrows steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Chavez. Burrows closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Burrows lands in his opponent's guard. Burrows sitting in guard, not really doing much. Chavez is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Chavez looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Burrows has picked Chavez up and slammed him! Chavez can't keep hold of the triangle and Burrows manages to pass to side control! Burrows trying to control the action but Chavez is working from the bottom. Burrows working away. Chavez is looking for a sweep. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! You can see the frustration on Chavez's face as Burrows controls the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Burrows seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Chavez for as long as he can get away with. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Stuart Burrows dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Burrows has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Burrows controlling the position easily from mount. Chavez is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Chavez is trying desperately to improve position. Burrows controlling his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chavez defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Burrows. Chavez is looking to get to half guard. Chavez bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
