Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 38 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lyle Alzado!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Alzado.
Rambo forces Alzado back against the cage and clinches.
Alzado fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Alzado misses with a punch to the body.
Rambo pulls guard successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rambo working for submissions but it's allowed Alzado to get to half guard.
Rambo is looking for a sweep. Alzado is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Rambo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Alzado is working away from the top position though.

Alzado tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Rambo.

Alzado gets tackled into the cage by Rambo. Rambo maintains the clinch.
Rambo tries for a takedown but Alzado manages to get underhooks.

Rambo stalling in the clinch but Alzado improves position.
Rambo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Alzado walks away with a smile on his face. Rambo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Alzado looks to land a left hand but Rambo moved out of range nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Alzado connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Rambo to the floor! Alzado dives in looking for the finish!
Rambo is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Alzado tries to stand and escape but Rambo is controlling the position.
Rambo kicks off Alzado and gets to his feet.
Rambo drops his hands momentarily and Alzado needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Rambo just on the top of the head. Rambo drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Rambo - he's done!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Lyle Alzado!
