And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mawi Da Oxlade!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Franklyn Lucas and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Oxlade moves out of range as Lovanov strikes.
Lovanov punishes Da Oxlade's body with a nice straight punch.
Lovanov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Da Oxlade throws an off balance right hand
and Lovanov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Mawi Da Oxlade has been cut.
Lovanov misses with a two punch combination.
Da Oxlade throws a sloppy head kick and Lovanov moves out of range easily.
Da Oxlade tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lovanov was well out of range. Poor timing from Da Oxlade.
Da Oxlade turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Lovanov scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Da Oxlade ducks under a wild hook from Lovanov.
Da Oxlade displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lovanov throws out the jab.
Nice defenses there by Lovanov.
Lovanov keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Da Oxlade.
Da Oxlade takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Da Oxlade has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Lovanov misses with an uppercut.
Da Oxlade swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Da Oxlade throws the left hand but Lovanov avoids the punch easily.
Lovanov takes one to the chin there.

Da Oxlade throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Lovanov is looking to counter punch.
Lovanov throws a lazy right hand but Da Oxlade sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lovanov on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Some wild striking there from Lovanov.
Da Oxlade looks to throw the jab but Lovanov is out of range.
It looked like Lovanov wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
and Lovanov counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Da Oxlade! He's just covering up as Lovanov starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
