Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pat Kelly (ranked 441 p4p, 1176 weight class) and Murilo Ninja (ranked 69 p4p, 179 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pat Kelly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Murilo Ninja!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kelly buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Ninja closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Kelly is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
The referee is keeping an eye on Ninja - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Kelly tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Ninja misses with a hook from the clinch.

Kelly breaks from the clinch.
Ninja misses with a takedown attempt - Kelly sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Ninja throws a right hand that Kelly ducks under and follows up with a left that Kelly also avoids with ease.
Kelly uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ninja.
A clash of legs there as Ninja blocks the low kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ninja on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Ninja avoids the body shot from Kelly.
Kelly lands with a cross.
Kelly misses with a hook. Ninja ducked under it nicely.
Ninja tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kelly has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Kelly scores with a hook to the body. Ninja takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Ninja cracks a nice hook into Kelly's ribs.

Kelly swats away the attempt to clinch by Ninja.

Ninja tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kelly swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kelly walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

It looks like Pat Kelly has been cut.
Ninja throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kelly stuffs the takedown attempt from Ninja. Ninja gets slowly back to his feet.
Ninja uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kelly.
Ninja doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Ninja rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kelly connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ninja fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Kelly seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Pat Kelly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Murilo Ninja.

Kelly moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kelly, as that shot connected.
Murilo Ninja seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ninja swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kelly.
Kelly steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ninja.
A little feinted left hand from Kelly on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Kelly closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Kelly looking to stall.
Ninja lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Ninja has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kelly is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Ninja working aggressively here.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Kelly takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Ninja swings wildly with an uppercut but Kelly uses good head movement to avoid it.

Kelly blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Kelly goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Ninja's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Kelly is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Ninja wants to take the fight to the mat but Kelly manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Kelly's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ninja fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kelly avoids it really well and circles away.

Ninja tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Ninja misses with a hook to the ribs.
Kelly can't find room to land a body shot as Ninja controls the action.
Ninja lands with a short shot to the head.
Ninja is looking to take this one to the mat.
Kelly blocks a body shot from Ninja.
Ninja doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Kelly stalling the fight.

Ninja gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Kelly is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ninja scores with a couple of nice shots.
Ninja prevents Kelly from improving his position.
Kelly trying to control but Ninja postures up.
Kelly has hold of Ninja's hands but Ninja slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Ninja is just content to waste time from the top position. Kelly takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Kelly is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ninja is aware though and is defending well.

Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Kelly is trying to keep Ninja in close.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Ninja throwing strikes but missing.
Kelly is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Ninja got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kelly has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ninja has managed to get both his arms back between Kelly's legs - danger averted.
Ninja slips nicely into half guard.
Kelly wants to improve his position but Ninja is controlling well.
Ninja is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Pat Kelly will probably get the nod.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Ninja blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Ninja is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Ninja throws a head punch that misses.
Ninja drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kelly manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Ninja makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Ninja has Kelly pushed against the cage.
Ninja goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Ninja is trying to trip Kelly. He has hold of a leg but Kelly is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ninja persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Ninja has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Kelly is looking for a triangle but Ninja pushes his legs off easily.

Kelly bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ninja's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ninja tries to escape but Kelly has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Kelly is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Kelly gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Kelly gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Kelly apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Kelly wants to break the clinch but can't.
Ninja tries a body shot but Kelly blocks it.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Ninja creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Ninja misses with some punches.
Kelly swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Kelly tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ninja's elbow.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Ninja looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
It looked like Kelly wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Ninja tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kelly sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ninja somewhat.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kelly darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Ninja tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kelly manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Ninja shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kelly pinned against the cage. Kelly gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Kelly makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Ninja changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kelly tries to avoid it but Ninja manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kelly to the ground. Kelly escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ninja takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Ninja closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kelly circles away.
Pat Kelly is winning the standup battle so far.
Kelly scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Kelly misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ninja.
Kelly misses with a series of wild punches.

Kelly connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kelly lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Ninja is rocked!
Kelly pounces like a tiger and cracks Ninja with a vicious hook! Ninja is down but not out! Kelly follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
