Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Mazepin (ranked 1925 p4p, 1027 weight class) and Drew Barnes (ranked 266 p4p, 150 weight class). Mazepin comes to the cage accompanied by boom. On his way into the cage it seems that Fedor Mazepin has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Fedor Mazepin seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Drew Barnes!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mazepin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Barnes.
Barnes stuffs the takedown attempt from Mazepin. Mazepin gets slowly back to his feet.
Barnes looks to throw the jab but Mazepin is out of range.
Mazepin slips a jab from Barnes.
Mazepin tries to close the distance and clinch but Barnes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Barnes misses with a body shot.
Mazepin keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Barnes.
Barnes scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mazepin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Barnes swivels and escapes.
Mazepin throws a one two combo.

It looks like Drew Barnes has been cut.
A big right from Barnes misses.
Barnes throws the left hand but Mazepin avoids the punch easily.

Barnes misses with a hook.
Mazepin throws a big counter combination but Barnes scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Barnes throws a series of punches but Mazepin moves out of range.

Mazepin drops down looking for a counter takedown but Barnes sprawls and moves away.

Barnes has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Mazepin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Barnes circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fedor Mazepin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mazepin darts in looking for a takedown but Barnes gets double underhooks and turns Mazepin into the cage.
Barnes lands a right hand that snaps the head of Mazepin backwards.

Barnes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Barnes connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Drew Barnes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Barnes. Mazepin does a little dance to reset his feet.

As Barnes looks to move away, Mazepin throws a big counter combo but Barnes just gets out of the way.

Mazepin shoots for a takedown but Barnes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Mazepin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Barnes lands with a nice combination. Mazepin backs away looking to recover.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
