Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Darius Gracie (ranked 4431 p4p, 5540 weight class) and Kemal Bayat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kemal Bayat will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Darius Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kemal Bayat!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bayat shoots in for a double leg but Gracie sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Gracie moves into range and clinches up with Bayat.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bayat has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Gracie gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Gracie postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Bayat looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Gracie controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Gracie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bayat's guard.
Bayat is looking for a sweep. Gracie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Bayat wants to control but Gracie is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Bayat has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gracie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Gracie's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Bayat has Gracie pressed against the cage, preventing Gracie from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Bayat is looking to control Gracie's arms but Gracie gets an underhook and turns him. Now Bayat has his back to the cage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bayat is trying to pull guard but Gracie turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Darius Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kemal Bayat.
Gracie turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Gracie manages to end up in side control.
Bayat manages to get back to half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bayat rolls, trying to escape but Gracie keeps control of the position.
Bayat breaks Gracie's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gracie is on top in guard.

Bayat postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Gracie is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bayat, into his guard.
Bayat isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Gracie stacks Bayat on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Gracie!

Gracie throws a strike aimed at the side of Bayat's head but Bayat avoids it well.

Bayat is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Gracie's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Gracie! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Bayat has tapped! This one is allllll over!
