Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pasha Kislyak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Micco Peramaki! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peramaki uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kislyak has time to react. Peramaki misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Kislyak counters with a nice double leg into side control. Peramaki won't be happy with that. Kislyak is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Peramaki has escaped the position, nice work there. Kislyak is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Peramaki knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Kislyak goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Peramaki has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kislyak but great work by Peramaki. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Peramaki wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kislyak, who protects the arm well. Peramaki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kislyak keeps working. Peramaki tries for a kimura but Kislyak is defending well. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Peramaki advances nicely into full mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peramaki has control of Kislyak's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kislyak regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Peramaki with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Peramaki goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Kislyak is on top in guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Peramaki utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kislyak is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Peramaki is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peramaki has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kislyak can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Peramaki looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Kislyak has picked Peramaki up and slammed him! Peramaki can't keep hold of the triangle and Kislyak manages to pass to side control! Kislyak tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. That's three minutes gone in the round. Peramaki is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Kislyak knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Kislyak for a finish. I really don't envy Kislyak right now.
Peramaki has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Kislyak is in real trouble here. Peramaki gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Kislyak is tapping out! Peramaki wins by rear naked choke!
