PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boris Klenchko (ranked 3573 p4p, 2491 weight class) and Dan Miles (ranked 395 p4p, 301 weight class). Miles has chosen MGK-Till I Die as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Boris Klenchko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Miles!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klenchko fails with a takedown attempt.

Klenchko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Miles pinned against the cage. Miles gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Miles rushes Klenchko and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Miles tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Miles avoids the elbow strike from Klenchko, against the cage.
Miles is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Miles has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Klenchko is trying to keep an underhook but Miles manages to get the takedown into half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Miles has hold of one of Klenchko's legs. Klenchko is fighting the takedown attempt but Miles gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Klenchko dives in and grabs Miles's left leg, looking for a takedown. Miles pushes down on Klenchko's head and hops out.

Klenchko looks to score with a jab to the body but Miles is just out of range.
Klenchko moves in looking to clinch but Miles pushes him off.

Dan Miles showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Miles tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Klenchko was well out of range. Poor timing from Miles.

Miles might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Miles looks to score with a jab to the body but Klenchko is just out of range.
Klenchko lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Klenchko shoots in and drives through. Miles sprawls well.

We've been informed that Miles has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Dan Miles seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Miles misses with a jab, cross combination.
Klenchko shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Miles as he jumps to the side.
Miles throws a hook but Klenchko blocks it.

The referee calls for Miles to work.
Klenchko drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Miles gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Klenchko with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

It looks like Dan Miles has been cut.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Klenchko misses with some punches.
Klenchko is trying to push Miles away but Miles has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Miles has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Klenchko clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
I really don't envy Klenchko right now.
Miles tries to keep control of the position but Klenchko is staying busy.

Miles controls the action.
Klenchko is covering up but some of the strikes from Miles are getting through and doing damage.
Klenchko is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Will Miles go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

I've got Miles winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
