Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sei Narukawa (ranked 24232 p4p, 24888 weight class) and Pepper Brendle (ranked 537 p4p, 525 weight class). Pepper Brendle told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pepper Brendle!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Valeri Chadov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brendle throws a lazy head kick
and Narukawa counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Narukawa scores with a nice strike.
Narukawa connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Brendle has a takedown stuffed.
Sei Narukawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Narukawa cracks Brendle with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Narukawa has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Brendle to stand back up!
Brendle is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Narukawa pounces like a tiger and cracks Brendle with a vicious hook! Brendle is down but not out! Narukawa follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
