Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ryu Akutagawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jayson Cadorna!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cadorna dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Cadorna jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Cadorna tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A quick step to the side and Akutagawa tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Akutagawa definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Akutagawa paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Cadorna misses with a double jab.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Akutagawa.
A right-left combo lands from Cadorna.
Akutagawa keeps the fight on the outside.
And Akutagawa counters with a quick kick to the body but Cadorna blocks it.
Akutagawa moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cadorna throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Akutagawa scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Cadorna doesn't seem bothered though.
A big left from Cadorna misses.
Cadorna connects with a crisp jab.

and Akutagawa counters with a one-two to the body.
Akutagawa keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Cadorna takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Akutagawa throws a head kick that Cadorna semi-blocks.
Cadorna shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Cadorna moves into the clinch.
Cadorna wants to take the fight to the mat but Akutagawa manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Cadorna breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Akutagawa lands with a good body shot.
Cadorna's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Akutagawa connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Cadorna scrambles back to his feet.
A punch combination from Cadorna misses.
Cadorna looks winded!

and Akutagawa counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Akutagawa connects with the punch.
Cadorna is rocked!
Akutagawa is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Cadorna misses with a looping left.
Cadorna is still on wobbly legs! Can Akutagawa finish him?
Cadorna drops his hands momentarily and Akutagawa takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Cadorna looks to land a combination but Akutagawa avoids it well.
Akutagawa lands a jab to Cadorna's midsection.
Cadorna seems to have recovered his senses.
Akutagawa lands a slapping body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A left lands for Akutagawa.
Akutagawa moves into range and connects with a jab.
Akutagawa with a nice calf kick.
Akutagawa lands a jab to the head.
Nice body punch from Akutagawa.
Akutagawa scores with a jab to the jaw.
Jayson Cadorna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Akutagawa drops Cadorna with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Cadorna looks back up at him and smiles so Akutagawa waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Akutagawa digs a good hook to Cadorna's body.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Akutagawa throws a leg kick which misses Cadorna's front leg but catches the back leg as Cadorna tries to avoid it.

Cadorna throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Akutagawa counters with a huge left! Cadorna is in big trouble! He's backing up but Akutagawa isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Cadorna from any more damage. A dominating finish by Akutagawa!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryu Akutagawa!
