Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hunter McLean (ranked 4561 p4p, 4570 weight class) and Honjou Moriaki (ranked 542 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hunter McLean! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Honjou Moriaki! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McLean fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Moriaki closes the distance and clinches up with McLean, looking for a takedown. Moriaki pushes McLean against the cage but McLean circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. McLean shoots for a takedown but Moriaki saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. McLean closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Moriaki has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. McLean avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Moriaki looking for a takedown. Hunter McLean has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Honjou Moriaki. Moriaki has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. McLean is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. McLean manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McLean keeping full guard, as Moriaki tries to pass. McLean keeping moving, preventing Moriaki from controlling successfully.

Moriaki looking to pass the guard. Moriaki trying to control but McLean is working from the bottom. McLean has a closed guard, preventing Moriaki from standing up. Moriaki is fighting to break McLean's control of his arms but McLean is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Moriaki wants to pass the guard but McLean is keeping the position. Moriaki wants to control from the top but McLean keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Moriaki shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. McLean defends it nicely. McLean tries to counter by clinching up but Moriaki breaks away and moves out of range. McLean looks to land a combination but Moriaki avoids it well. Moriaki feints the counter takedown. Horrible takedown attempt by Moriaki or perhaps it was just good defense by McLean, which made it look bad. Moriaki gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. McLean is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Moriaki is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McLean accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Moriaki is looking for a triangle but McLean pushes his legs off easily.
Moriaki is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. McLean controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Moriaki is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Moriaki wants to sweep but no luck.

Moriaki has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McLean can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Moriaki is trying to keep McLean in close.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. McLean gets to his feet. Moriaki looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! McLean closes the distance and clinches. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Hunter McLean will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Moriaki is trying to work for a single leg takedown but McLean pulls him back up using the underhooks. McLean stops a takedown attempt from Moriaki.
McLean stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
McLean pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Moriaki shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McLean as he avoids it easily. Hunter McLean has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Honjou Moriaki. McLean moves into the clinch successfully.

McLean scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
It looks like Honjou Moriaki has been cut. Moriaki tries for a takedown but McLean circles away easily and McLean counters with a left and a right that stings Moriaki. Moriaki fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McLean avoids it really well and circles away. And McLean counters with a quick kick to the body but Moriaki blocks it. McLean closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McLean successfully pulls guard.
Moriaki trying to control but McLean is working from the bottom. McLean controlling Moriaki's posture. Moriaki slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. McLean is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Moriaki can do to turn this around? Moriaki has hold of McLean's arm. He's looking for a kimura. McLean seems comfortable defending it but Moriaki has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! McLean is real pain and he's forced to tap out! McLean is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Moriaki couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Honjou Moriaki! A very excited looking Honjou Moriaki made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
