Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Calixto Cardona (ranked 386 p4p, 297 weight class) and Anni Skystalker (ranked 46 p4p, 36 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Anni Skystalker!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Skystalker has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Skystalker is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Cardona is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

That was a close round but I would say that Calixto Cardona will probably get the nod.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Cardona is trying to buck Skystalker off.
Skystalker is working to tighten his grip on Cardona's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Cardona has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Skystalker is really squeezing tight and eventually Cardona passes out! Skystalker breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

In his post fight interview, Anni Skystalker started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
