PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gakus Amiga (ranked 25351 p4p, 25017 weight class) and Richard John Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Amiga.
Salvacion wants to control but Amiga postures up.
Amiga lands a nice forearm strike.

Amiga seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Salvacion for as long as he can get away with.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Salvacion shoots in and bounces Amiga off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Salvacion slaps away a takedown attempt from Amiga, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Despite the aggression on Salvacion's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Amiga shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Salvacion sprawls well. Salvacion wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Amiga gets slowly back to his feet.

Amiga shoots in for a takedown but Salvacion shows good takedown defense.
Salvacion tries a head kick but it misses.
A quick step to the side and Amiga tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

As Salvacion backs away, Amiga returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Amiga looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Salvacion is fending him off so far but Amiga persists. Nope, Salvacion circles away and we're back to standing.

Horrible takedown attempt by Salvacion or perhaps it was just good defense by Amiga, which made it look bad.

Well Salvacion has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
