Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tapio Virtainen (ranked 1978 p4p, 2374 weight class) and Black Lives Jackson (ranked 245 p4p, 296 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tapio Virtainen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Black Lives Jackson! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Virtainen misses. Jackson looks like he wants to counter punch here. Virtainen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Jackson! But no joy. Virtainen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Virtainen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jackson. Jackson throws a hook to the side of Virtainen's head but Virtainen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Virtainen throws a sloppy head kick and Jackson moves out of range easily. Jackson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Tapio Virtainen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Virtainen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jackson. Jackson is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Jackson clinches up against the cage. Jackson tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Virtainen is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jackson has managed to free his arm - good work. Jackson has hold of Virtainen's hands but Virtainen slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Virtainen lands with a punch from half guard. Jackson is looking to escape. Jackson keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Jackson is trying to control but can't.

The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jackson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Jackson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jackson. Virtainen trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Virtainen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Virtainen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jackson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Virtainen throwing strikes but missing. Virtainen prevents Jackson from getting back to his feet. Virtainen slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Jackson wants to control but Virtainen postures up. Virtainen lands some shots froms side control. Virtainen cracks Jackson with a big right hand but Jackson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Virtainen misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Tapio Virtainen dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Virtainen throws a head kick but Jackson moves out of range.

Sloppy strikes from Virtainen. Those never looked like landing. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Virtainen. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Jackson! But no joy. Virtainen throws an overhand right that lands on Jackson's shoulder, as Jackson tries to avoid the shot. Virtainen is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jackson can do to turn this around? Virtainen lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Virtainen misses with a two punch combination.
Jackson lands a nice hook to Virtainen's body. Virtainen takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Jackson avoids a kick to the body.
Jackson drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Virtainen defends it well. Jackson is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Virtainen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jackson was well out of range. Poor timing from Virtainen. Virtainen tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Jackson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Virtainen has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jackson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Jackson with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Jackson misses with a knee to the head. Virtainen blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Virtainen drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

It looks like Tapio Virtainen has been cut. Jackson jerks Virtainen's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Virtainen drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Jackson goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Jackson because Virtainen was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Black Lives Jackson! Black Lives Jackson very nearly forgot to thank Un-Kaged Nutrition amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name.
