The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonidas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
As Leonidas looks to move away, Kislyak throws a big counter combo but Leonidas just gets out of the way.
Kislyak fails with the takedown
and Leonidas connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Leonidas drives through and clinches with Kislyak against the cage.

Leonidas 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Leonidas throws a right hand that Kislyak ducks under and follows up with a left that Kislyak also avoids with ease.
Kislyak takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Leonidas rushes Kislyak and presses him up against the cage.
Leonidas lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Kislyak or not.

Leonidas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Horrible takedown attempt by Kislyak or perhaps it was just good defense by Leonidas , which made it look bad.
Leonidas lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Kislyak pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Leonidas throws a right hand that Kislyak ducks under and follows up with a left that Kislyak also avoids with ease.

Leonidas drives through and clinches with Kislyak against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Leonidas .

It looks like Pasha Kislyak has been cut.
Kislyak tries for a takedown but Leonidas manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pasha Kislyak. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Leonidas stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Kislyak manages to break the clinch.
Leonidas rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kislyak moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Leonidas misses with a few strikes there.

Kislyak fails to pull guard.

Kislyak turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Kislyak manages to end up in side control.

Kislyak is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Leonidas looks calm but he's in trouble here. Kislyak gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Leonidas is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Kislyak lets go of the hold and Leonidas can pop his arm back in it's socket.
