This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Rogier Moura! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Chris Saunders.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Aki has managed to clinch.
Moura tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Aki just stands there and leans against the ropes. Aki pulls guard effortlessly. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Aki escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Moura gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Moura is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Moura is pushing down on Aki's leg trying to pass to half guard. Aki is fighting to maintain full guard but Moura has managed to sneak the leg through. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Moura is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
