Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeff Cooper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roman Reyes!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Lou da Vinci and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper tries to clinch but Reyes moves out of range.
Cooper is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Reyes keeps the fight on the outside.
Reyes swats away the attempt to clinch by Cooper.
Reyes throws a nice head kick!

Cooper has closed the distance and engaged Reyes in a clinch.
Reyes gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Cooper.
Reyes missing with knees to the body.
Cooper tries for a takedown but Reyes manages to get underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reyes landing knees to the head.

It looks like Jeff Cooper has been cut.
Reyes misses with a knee strike.
Cooper changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Reyes fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeff Cooper. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Reyes lands with a nice combination. Cooper backs away looking to recover.
Cooper is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Cooper closes the distance and pushes Reyes back into the cage.
Nice elbow from Reyes.
Cooper has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Reyes after a bit of a struggle.
Reyes lands an elbow that stopped Cooper in his tracks for a moment.

Cooper is rocked!
Reyes lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Oh Cooper is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've been hearing reports that Cooper has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Cooper tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Reyes jerks Cooper's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Cooper drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Reyes goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Reyes because Cooper was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Roman Reyes!
A less than humble Roman Reyes misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
