Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mad Hatter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kotaro Asakura!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Bruno Lombardi and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asakura throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hatter uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Hatter rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Asakura connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Asakura tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Hatter is able to avoid easily.
Jab, jab by Hatter - just one landing.
It looks like Kotaro Asakura has been cut.
Asakura slips under a jab.
Hatter keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Asakura dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hatter. That did some damage!
A head kick by Asakura misses
and Hatter counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Asakura is rocked!
Asakura misses with a hook
and Hatter counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Asakura is still on wobbly legs! Can Hatter finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hatter cracks Asakura with a left hook right on the temple and Asakura goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Hatter lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Asakura is OK!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mad Hatter!
