Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Casimiro Nicoletta (ranked 1023 p4p, 1723 weight class) and Tris Kapula (ranked 139 p4p, 238 weight class). Nicoletta's entrance music is For Once In My Life. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kapula feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Nicolettas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
It looks like Casimiro Nicoletta has been cut.
Kapula has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
A lazy left from Nicoletta finds it's target.
Nicoletta steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kapula .
Nicoletta fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A jab lands there for Nicoletta.
Kapula throws a big shot that misses.

Kapula sends Nicoletta crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Kapula is motioning to the referee to let Nicoletta up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Nicoletta, as that shot connected.
Tris Kapula seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nicoletta throws a head kick but Kapula moves out of range.

and Nicoletta counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Kapula connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Nicoletta's hands.

The fighters circling - Kapula throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kapula cracks Nicoletta with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Nicoletta looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Kapula finish him?
Nicoletta has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Latin Gym in the buildup to the fight.

Nicoletta gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Kapula points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Nicoletta wakes up just in time to hear Kapula thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tris Kapula !
Tris Kapula decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
