Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joaquim Caetano!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caetano shoots in looking for a takedown. Fowel tries to sprawl out of it but Caetano keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fowel manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fowel stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fowel wants it to stay on the feet.
Caetano looks to land a right hand but Fowel moved out of range.
Fowel half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Caetano shoots in but Fowel avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Robby Fowel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joaquim Caetano.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Caetano is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Fowel defends well.

Fowel drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Caetano dives on top into guard.

Fowel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Fowel can't keep his opponent in guard - Caetano advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Fowel is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Caetano pulls his head out easily.
Caetano is trying to control the action in half guard but Fowel is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Fowel looking for a sweep. Not yet Fowel, not yet.

Fowel is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Fowel definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Caetano trying to control the position from guard on top but Fowel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Fowel is looking for a triangle but Caetano pushes his legs off easily.

Fowel escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Caetano gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Caetano drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Fowel dives on top into guard.

Fowel wants to control from the top but Caetano keeps moving.

Our spies down at at LAFC Training Center inform us that Caetano has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Caetano has his feet on Fowel's thighs here. He's pushed Fowel off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Fowel screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
