Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Steven Seagull (ranked 2704 p4p, 956 weight class) and Aljamain Sterling (ranked 144 p4p, 46 weight class). Sterling is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: I Love. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Steven Seagull! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Aljamain Sterling! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Seagull swings for the body but Sterling moves out of range.
Sterling has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Sterling dives in and grabs Seagull's left leg, looking for a takedown. Seagull pushes down on Sterling's head and hops out. Seagull lands a nice hook to Sterling's body. Sterling takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Sterling drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sterling thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Seagull prevents Sterling from improving position. Seagull tries to buck Sterling off but Sterling is having none of it. Seagull manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Seagull lands strikes from half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sterling trying to control here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Seagull is looking for a kimura but Sterling is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Seagull to get the leverage. Seagull definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Seagull connects with a nice short shot to Sterling's temple. Sterling actively working from the bottom here. Sterling has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Seagull. Oh but Sterling has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Seagull goes limp - he's gone! Sterling jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Aljamain Sterling! Aljamain Sterling gave a mention to Highland Clothing in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
