Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Xon HiChi (ranked 2125 p4p, 2105 weight class) and Guilherme Carvalho (ranked 250 p4p, 248 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Xon HiChi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Guilherme Carvalho! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Sandra Marshall and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carvalho avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Carvalho lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. HiChi throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Carvalho on the side of the head. Nice shot lands for Carvalho. Carvalho stalks HiChi and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into HiChi's face. HiChi staggers backwards, shaken. Carvalho scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. HiChi swings for the body but Carvalho moves out of range.
HiChi ducks under a wild hook from Carvalho. Carvalho throws a jab but it's blocked by HiChi. It looked like HiChi wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Carvalho looks to land a right hand but HiChi moved out of range. Carvalho scores with a crisp jab that stopped HiChi in his tracks. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! HiChi moves out of range of the strikes. HiChi fails to land with a series of punches.
HiChi definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. HiChi uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Carvalho. Carvalho throws a combination but it was largely blocked by HiChi. Guilherme Carvalho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A looping hook to the body misses from HiChi. Carvalho does a little dance to reset his feet. Carvalho is looking for the big counter here. HiChi fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Carvalho has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Carvalho misses with a double jab
and HiChi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. HiChi throws a monster overhand right that drops Carvalho! HiChi follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Xon HiChi! A very excited looking Xon HiChi made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
