Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lee Longo!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Longo looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Newton looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Newton throws a strike but Longo avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Newton stands and throws Longo's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The ground and pound from Newton seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Newton wants to control but Longo is keeping him busy.

Newton thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Longo's head.
Longo blocking the ground and pound attempt from Newton.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Newton in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Longo looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Newton turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
