Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vinny Dias (ranked 3619 p4p, 4204 weight class) and Cobra Jones (ranked 419 p4p, 480 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vinny Dias! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cobra Jones! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Steve Montenegro and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Dias. Dias tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Dias staying calm. Dias looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dias working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Dias takes a little break here. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Jones can't do much from the bottom here. Jones is trying to get back to half guard. Jones is being controlled here. An elbow from Dias crashes against the mat.
Jones wants to control but Dias postures up. Dias is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jones is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Dias controlling the position from side mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones struggling a bit here. The ground and pound from Dias seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Dias has knee on belly and moves into mount. Jones tries to hold on but Dias postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Dias content just to control the position here. Jones is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Dias misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jones holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Dias tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Vinny Dias dominated that round. That's time! Dias's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Jones is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Jones misses with a body shot.
Dias appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Some bone on bone action there as Dias checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dias. Dias is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jones can do to turn this around? Dias scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. You can see the frustration on Jones's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Dias off and has taken his back! That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Dias has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jones is working away from the top position though. Dias definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Dias is concentrating on defense, preventing Jones from advancing position. Jones working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Dias wants to control but Jones is keeping busy and won't allow it. Jones content to control rather than advance. Dias looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dias slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Dias looking for a sweep. Not yet Dias, not yet.

Dias looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Dias is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jones is aware though and is defending well. Dias is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Dias keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Dias is pulling down on Jones's head to control his posture. Dias is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

A close second round but Cobra Jones will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round! Jones throws a body kick despite being completely out of range so Dias counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Dias sitting in guard here, content to control. Jones looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Dias trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dias is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Jones keeping moving, preventing Dias from controlling successfully. Dias content to stall in guard here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Jones swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Dias closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Jones quickly recovers to half guard. Dias is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Dias is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Jones is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Dias content just to control the position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Jones is looking to improve his position but Dias isn't that keen on the idea. Dias jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jones manages to avoid the submission attempt. Jones tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dias wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Jones pushes Dias away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Dias gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Jones is looking to reverse the position. Dias tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones looking for a sweep but Dias has passed into full mount! Oh no! Dias throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Dias controlling from the full mount. Jones working to try and regain half guard.

Dias wants to finish this one by submission but Jones is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Dias. Dias content just to control the position here. Jones is squirming around, avoiding Dias's attempts to control the action. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jones tries to lock up and control but Dias gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Dias controlling from the full mount.
