Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between George Jr (ranked 3956 p4p, 3607 weight class) and Niamajla Gnilrets (ranked 360 p4p, 344 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Jr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Niamajla Gnilrets! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Kavanagh and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jr looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gnilrets is fending him off so far but Jr persists. Nope, Gnilrets circles away and we're back to standing. Gnilrets moves into range and connects with a jab. Gnilrets scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Gnilrets pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Jr back to the cage. Gnilrets follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Jr is rocked! Jr goes for a double leg but Gnilrets avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Gnilrets continues to drive forward. Oh Jr is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Gnilrets creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Jr's defenses. Gnilrets blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Jr seems to have got his legs back now. Gnilrets looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Gnilrets misses with an elbow strike.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Gnilrets controls from within his opponent's guard. Jr is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Jr goes for a double leg but Gnilrets avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Gnilrets continues to drive forward. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Jr. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gnilrets lands a body punch. Jr takes an elbow to the temple. Gnilrets lands with a short shot to the head. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gnilrets lands an elbow just above Jr 's eye. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Niamajla Gnilrets dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Jr takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Niamajla Gnilrets seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gnilrets thuds a left hand into Jr's body. Nice shot lands for Gnilrets. Decent striking displayed by Gnilrets there. Gnilrets bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jr's head. Jr moves forwards but Gnilrets connects with a nice, crisp jab. Nice shot by Gnilrets. Jr tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Nice uppercut there from Gnilrets. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jr shoots and misses and Gnilrets connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Jr has Gnilrets up against the cage in a clinch.

He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Gnilrets lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Gnilrets controlling the action here for a moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Jr. Gnilrets lands an elbow just above Jr 's eye. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gnilrets escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gnilrets throws out a powerful jab. Gnilrets circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Jr to the canvas! Jr doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Gnilrets keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
