Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matth Thibodeaux (ranked 2855 p4p, 1880 weight class) and Gerry Geissler (ranked 346 p4p, 265 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Geissler's jab looks to have found its range, popping Thibodeaux under the eye.

Thibodeaux paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Geissler loads up on a big right hand but Thibodeaux slips the punch.
As Geissler looks to move away, Thibodeaux throws a big counter combo but Geissler just gets out of the way.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Thibodeaux throws a jab but it's blocked by Geissler.
Thibodeaux catches Geissler with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

That has opened up Gerry Geissler's cut even more.
Geissler has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Geissler throws a sloppy body shot
and Thibodeaux counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
