Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Liam Higgins (ranked 2132 p4p, 4168 weight class) and Rodion Brown (ranked 272 p4p, 446 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Liam Higgins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Rodion Brown!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown throws a right hand that misses
and Higgins counters with a straight right hand.
Higgins scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Higgins loads up on a big right hand but Brown slips the punch.
Brown flicks out a counter leg kick but Higgins steps away.
A nice leg kick lands there from Higgins.
Brown takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Higgins throws a leg kick which misses Brown's front leg but catches the back leg as Brown tries to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown throws a poor cross that misses
and Higgins counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Higgins looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Brown blocks a jab.
Brown throws a leg kick
enabling Higgins to counter with a crisp jab.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Higgins pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Brown throws out a counter right but Higgins avoids it with no problem.
Higgins drops Brown with a straight right hand, right on the button! Higgins follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Liam Higgins!
Liam Higgins decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
