The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DiAngelo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Seehaver.

Seehaver has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. DiAngelo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Seehaver is trying to work for a single leg takedown but DiAngelo pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Seehaver wants to take the fight to the mat but DiAngelo manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Seehaver feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now DiAngelo is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Seehaver is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt DiAngelo will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Seehaver got a little sloppy there for a moment and DiAngelo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Seehaver has managed to get both his arms back between DiAngelo's legs - danger averted.
