Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brandon Hendrix!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tielo Bonifaz!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendrix moves out of range of the strikes.
Bonifaz steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hendrix.
Bonifaz throws out a counter right but Hendrix avoids it with no problem.
Bonifaz blocks a jab.
Bonifaz swings widly with a right hand
and Hendrix counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bonifaz showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hendrix.
Hendrix takes one on the button.
Bonifaz lands a head shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hendrix swings for the body but Bonifaz moves out of range.
Bonifaz swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Bonifaz's corner calls for a 1-2. Bonifaz obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Hendrix misses with a left hand
and Bonifaz counters with a nice uppercut.
Hendrix lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bonifaz at a distance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bonifaz looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Bonifaz is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Bonifaz on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Hendrix pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Hendrix throws a hook to the side of Bonifaz's head but Bonifaz sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Bonifaz looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Hendrix throws a lazy right hand but Bonifaz sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bonifaz let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Bonifaz misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hendrix throws a looping overhand right but Bonifaz ducks down to avoid it.
Hendrix throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hendrix cracks Bonifaz with a good jab.
Bonifaz avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hendrix throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Bonifaz looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Hendrix looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hendrix throws a hook but Bonifaz avoids it easily.
Bonifaz was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Hendrix throws an off balance right hand
enabling Bonifaz to counter with a crisp jab.
Hendrix scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bonifaz moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
A big right from Hendrix misses.
Bonifaz gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Bonifaz throws a hook to the side of Hendrix's head but Hendrix sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hendrix misses the shot to the body.
Hendrix misses with an uppercut. Bonifaz saw that one coming.
Bonifaz misses with a hook.
A jab from Hendrix misses.
Hendrix throws a shot from downtown. Bonifaz moves away and avoids it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hendrix misses with a left hand
and Bonifaz makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
A decent looking cross lands there for Bonifaz.
Bonifaz takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Hendrix lands a big shot that drops Bonifaz! Can he finish him?

Bonifaz is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bonifaz tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bonifaz is still in real trouble! Can Hendrix finish him?

Bonifaz is working an open guard so Hendrix takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Bonifaz uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hendrix.
Hendrix closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Bonifaz out cold! Bonifaz corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Brandon Hendrix!
An out of breath Brandon Hendrix thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
