Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Harper (ranked 4530 p4p, 3648 weight class) and Douche T McBaggins (ranked 235 p4p, 200 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Harper might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Slam - Toby Mac. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harper fails with a takedown attempt.
McBaggins throws a hook but Harper avoids it easily.
A left lands for McBaggins.

It looks like Shawn Harper has been cut.

Harper looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Harper seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
McBaggins blocking the ground and pound attempt from Harper.
McBaggins wants to get back to full guard but Harper has passed into side control.
McBaggins is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
McBaggins is looking to regain half guard here but Harper keeps moving and retains side control.
McBaggins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Harper. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Harper has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The strikes coming from Harper are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

McBaggins is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Harper tries to advance to mount but can't.

Harper is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt McBaggins will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Harper is looking to take a break and control but McBaggins is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McBaggins can do anything to dispel that myth.
