Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sovor Trandel (ranked 1557 p4p, 1177 weight class) and Xavier Washington (ranked 215 p4p, 170 weight class). Trandel comes to the cage accompanied by Fuel and Fire - Bride. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washington takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Trandel jabs Washington right on the nose. Washington blinks but takes it well.
Trandel looks to score with a jab to the body but Washington is just out of range.
A little jabbing left from Washington on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Washington takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

It looks like Sovor Trandel has been cut.

Trandel shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Washington tries to kick Trandel off but Trandel keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Trandel is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Washington pushes Trandel off looking to stand but Trandel dives back in and keeps control.
Trandel wants to pass the guard but Washington is defending well.

Trandel is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Washington defends it well.
Washington is trying to maintain the position but Trandel is very close to passing his half guard.

Washington is trying to control Trandel's posture. Trandel takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Washington! Trandel is rotating here... this could be the end... Washington is out! Trandel has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
