Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Bravo (ranked 1861 p4p, 2594 weight class) and Juan Carlos (ranked 237 p4p, 294 weight class). Juan Carlos has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Eddie Bravo's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eddie Bravo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juan Carlos!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carlos misses with a lunging right hand

and Bravo counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Carlos!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carlos is not content to let Bravo control the position.
Carlos has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bravo frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Bravo lands a couple of good shots and Carlos has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Bravo looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. Carlos is controlling Bravo 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard.

Bravo isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Carlos stacks Bravo on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Carlos!

Bravo throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Carlos escapes and throws Bravo's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Well Carlos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
