The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connor works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Miyagi.
Miyagi takes a swing at Connor's ribcage but misses.
Connor fails to land the takedown.
Connor throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Connor misses with a leg kick.
Miyagi keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Connor lands with a cross.
Connor shoots and misses
and Miyagi makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Miyagi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Connor moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Miyagi closes the distance and clinches up with Connor, looking for a takedown. Miyagi pushes Connor against the cage but Connor circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Miyagi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Connor is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Miyagi takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Miyagi gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Connor tries for a takedown but Miyagi circles away easily
and Miyagi counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Connor is looking to score with low kicks.
Connor connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Miyagi misses with a few strikes there.
Miyagi takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Connor keeps the fight on the outside.
Miyagi drops his shoulder and cracks Connor with a huge uppercut! Connor goes down! Can Miyagi finish him?

Miyagi passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Connor is still in real trouble! Can Miyagi finish him?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Miyagi tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Miyagi looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Connor seems to have recovered his senses.

Miyagi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Connor is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Miyagi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Connor, who protects the arm well.
Miyagi prevents Connor from escaping the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Connor is looking to regain half guard here but Miyagi keeps moving and retains side control.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Connor tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Miyagi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Connor manages to get himself to full guard.
Miyagi passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Miyagi wants to control but Connor is keeping him busy.

Miyagi throws a right and a left that both miss.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Miyagi lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Connor has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Connor and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Connor connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Miyagi's hands.

Miyagi takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Connor throws a one two combo.
Connor is trying desperately to land a takedown but Miyagi is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Connor.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Some bone on bone action there as Miyagi checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Miyagi tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Miyagi has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Miyagi counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Miyagi looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Miyagi needs to keep his hands up - Connor had a free shot at his head there.
Miyagi shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
