Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alex Munhoz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nicholas McDonald!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Munhoz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Munhoz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McDonald sprawls well. McDonald wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Munhoz gets slowly back to his feet.

Munhoz closes this distance looking for a takedown but McDonald circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Munhoz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McDonald stuffs the takedown.
McDonald throws out a counter right but Munhoz avoids it with no problem.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and McDonald counters with a body kick.

and McDonald counters with a nice body shot.
McDonald cracks Munhoz with a right hand to the side of the head.
Munhoz throws a sloppy head kick
and McDonald counters with a straight right hand.
Munhoz misses with a telegraphed body shot
and McDonald counters with a lovely straight right hand!
McDonald looks to throw the jab but Munhoz is out of range.
McDonald lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Munhoz definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
McDonald's corner calls for a 1-2. McDonald obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Munhoz is rocked!
McDonald might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Munhoz throws a series of punches but McDonald avoids them all with ease.
Oh Munhoz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Munhoz misses with an uppercut
and McDonald counters with a left to the body.
Munhoz throws an ugly left hook that misses
and McDonald scores with a counter punch that sends Munhoz to the canvas! McDonald smells blood - he's punishing Munhoz with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Munhoz has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
