Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sione Veainu (ranked 693 p4p, 2154 weight class) and Erza Scarlet (ranked 97 p4p, 274 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Erza Scarlet!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scarlet misses with a lunging right hand
and Veainu counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Scarlet throws a jab when Veainu was well out of range.

Scarlet's coach down at Cozad The Island was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Scarlet's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Scarlet clobbers Veainu with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

That has opened up Erza Scarlet's cut even more.

Veainu is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Scarlet really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Veainu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Scarlet is defending against the submission attempts here by Veainu.

Scarlet is pushing off trying to get to his feet. Veainu has hold of the leg though and he's dropped back for a heel hook… has he got it?? YES! Scarlet is tapping! This fight is all over!
