Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Red Greene (ranked 1240 p4p, 2318 weight class) and Alexander Grigoriev (ranked 165 p4p, 294 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Red Greene!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alexander Grigoriev!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greene ducks under a wild hook from Grigoriev.
Grigoriev swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Greene shoots and misses
enabling Grigoriev to counter with a crisp jab.
Greene shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Grigoriev sprawls well. Grigoriev wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Greene gets slowly back to his feet.
Greene needs to keep his hands up - Grigoriev had a free shot at his head there.
Greene definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Greene changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Grigoriev tries to avoid it but Greene manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Grigoriev to the ground. Grigoriev escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Red Greene. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Greene uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Grigoriev.
Greene has his takedown stuffed
and Grigoriev counters with a lovely straight right hand!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Greene shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Greene closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Grigoriev slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Greene has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Grigoriev has his foot on Greene's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Greene works his way back into a safe position though.
Grigoriev is trying to control the position but Greene postures up.
Grigoriev wants to sweep here but Greene controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Greene drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Grigoriev dives on top into guard.

Grigoriev working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Grigoriev is looking to work some ground and pound but Greene has wrist control.

Grigoriev throws a sloppy strike and Greene has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Grigoriev is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Greene!
