Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oscar Gallos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Philips! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Philips thows a left - swing and a miss! Gallos connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Philips checks the leg kick nicely there.
Nice defenses there by Gallos. It looked like Gallos was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Gallos missing with a left hand there. Philips was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A cross from Gallos lands. Philips takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Philips is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Gallos throws the left hand but Philips avoids the punch easily. A nice side step and Philips releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Gallos throws a hook but Philips avoids it easily. Philips scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Gallos misses with a hook. Philips wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Gallos walks into a left hand. Gallos throws a lazy uppercut
and Philips counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gallos is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gallos throws a shot from downtown. Philips moves away and avoids it. Oh Gallos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Jab by Gallos. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Philips throws out a loose jab but Gallos uses good head movement to avoid it. Gallos seems to have got his legs back now. Gallos swings away with a leg kick that misses. Gallos throws a leg kick and Philips counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Gallos misses with an uppercut. Gallos misses with a hook. Philips ducked under it nicely. Philips misses with a hook. Gallos ducked under it nicely. Gallos has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Doom's Gym in the buildup to the fight. Gallos rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Philips to counter with a crisp jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Philips's corner calls for a 1-2. Philips obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Gallos wants to land a leg kick but Philips is out of range. Gallos uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Philips.
Gallos shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Philips throws a big shot that misses. Gallos uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Philips. A decent looking cross lands there for Gallos. Philips throws out a loose jab but Gallos uses good head movement to avoid it. Gallos throws an off balance right hand
and Philips counters with a lovely straight right hand! Gallos jabbing away but nothing is landing. Philips missing with a left hand there. Gallos was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Gallos moves away from the strike by Philips. Gallos throws an overhand right that lands on Philips's shoulder, as Philips tries to avoid the shot. A punch lands to the side of Philips 's head but he takes it in his stride. Gallos thows a left - swing and a miss! Oscar Gallos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gallos steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Philips. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gallos misses with a straight left. Philips scores with a jab to the jaw. Philips closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Gallos! Philips dives in looking to finish! Gallos is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
