Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pertti Keinonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jestan Tsemppu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keinonen throws a right and a left that Tsemppu avoids nicely.
Pertti Keinonen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Keinonen looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Keinonen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tsemppu swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Keinonen fails with an attempt to clinch.
Tsemppu shoots in for a takedown but Keinonen shows good takedown defense.

Tsemppu feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

and Tsemppu counters with a body kick that stops Keinonen in his tracks momentarily.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Keinonen is staying active underneath Tsemppu, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Keinonen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Tsemppu throws an elbow but Keinonen slips to the side and avoids it well.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Keinonen bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Keinonen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tsemppu swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Tsemppu looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Keinonen is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Keinonen wants to control from the top but Tsemppu keeps moving.
Tsemppu manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Tsemppu swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Keinonen is now in Tsemppu's guard. A big mistake from Tsemppu there, giving up the dominant position!
Tsemppu wants to control the position but Keinonen says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Keinonen is just content to waste time from the top position. Tsemppu takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Tsemppu fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Keinonen sprawls well initially but Tsemppu persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Keinonen moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Keinonen lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Tsemppu!

Keinonen tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Tsemppu tries to lock up and control but Keinonen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The referee is taking a good look at Tsemppu as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Keinonen!

Keinonen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Tsemppu tries to hold on but Keinonen postures up.
Tsemppu tries to reverse the position but Keinonen maintains control.
Keinonen goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Tsemppu turns into him and now he's in Keinonen's guard.
Tsemppu drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Keinonen dives on top into guard.
And that's the end of the fight!
Jestan Tsemppu comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Tsemppu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
