Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dawindi Buktot (ranked 6055 p4p, 6163 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Buktot shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. A nice side step and Buut releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Buut shoots in and drives through. Buktot sprawls well. Buut scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Buut is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Buktot's shoulder. That is not cool. Buktot is not content to let Buut control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut controls the position. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buktot is trying to improve his position. Buktot is trying to control Buut's posture but Buut avoids it. Buut is looking to take a break and control but Buktot is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Buktot is trying to control Buut's posture but Buut avoids it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Buut gets caught napping as Buktot dives in and scores a takedown. Buut manages to retain guard. Buut is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Buktot controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buktot trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Buut trying to control the position here. Buut looking to hit a scissor sweep but Buktot is one step ahead there. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Buut working a defensive guard here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Buut tries for a takedown but Buktot circles away easily and Buktot counters with a nice leg kick. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buut with a lazy takedown attempt and Buktot counters with a body kick. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dawindi Buktot will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Buktot closes this distance looking for a takedown but Buut circles away. Buut replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Buktot blocks it well. Buktot throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Buktot shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Buut is trying to defend but Buktot finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Buut makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buktot fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Buut let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buktot throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Buktot looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Buut is fending him off so far but Buktot persists. Nope, Buut circles away and we're back to standing. As Buktot backs off Buut throws a huge counter combo but Buktot manages to avoid it all. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dawindi Buktot. That's going to take a lot out of him. Buut shoots in for a takedown but Buktot shows good takedown defense. Buktot is looking to counter with a body kick. Buktot shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Buut pinned against the cage. Buut gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Buut steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Buktot misses with a takedown and Buut counters with a body kick that stops Buktot in his tracks momentarily. Buktot misses with the body kick and Buut counters with a nice body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Buut controlling the action here. Walay Buut has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buut's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Buut working over Buktot with some ground and pound. Buktot looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Buut trying to control the pace. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buktot trying to control but Buut postures up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Walay Buut showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Buktot gets caught flat footed, as Buut shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Buut's corner is telling him to maintain position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Let's hope that Buut has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Buut scoring with punches to the head and body.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Buktot tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Buut defends well and Buktot ends up having to push Buut into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Buktot drops down looking for an ankle pick but Buut pulls his leg out and moves away.
Buut looks for a takedown but Buktot sprawls well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buktot moves to clinch but Buut breaks away and Buut counters with a nice kick to the body. Buktot stuffs the takedown attempt from Buut. Buut gets slowly back to his feet. And Buktot counters with a quick kick to the body but Buut blocks it. Buktot with a poor takedown and Buut makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Buktot really felt that one! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dawindi Buktot. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Buktot fails with the takedown and Buut counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Buktot thinking. Buktot decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Buut wants to control but Buktot is keeping busy.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buktot takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Walay Buut comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Buut has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
